Last weekend was a campout party, Boombox In Da Boondox. I was able to throw down after Bomb Shel Bailey early Saturday morning for the ‘sunrise’. I’m not sure that you can call it a sunrise because the overcast skies kept a clear view of the sun from us until the following morning.

Superraver LRE and I met a lot of really great people and tightened up with some excellent folks we’ve spent time with since relocating. I was blown away with how strong the broken beat culture was represented: Vize, Echoik, 3Peace, and Ekim were some of my favorites of the weekend. In fact, I setup a gig through Echoik for Friday, July 13th earlier today as a result of kickin’ it over the weekend.

I met a vendor based in my neighborhood that I hadn’t heard of before. They’re called PRIMITIVE SCIENCE and this mix is an entry to a DJ Contest that they are hosting. (Event details are here)
